Welcome USMC3533!

I have two links that may help:

First one is an EBay list for a 478, so maybe that guy has a possible source and/or spare parts.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GMC-Toro-Flow-478/201687993011?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1% 26asc%3D37338%26meid%3D4a2fc9c9013c422e9dec686f5fb a289d%26pid%3D100085%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D201 352634992%26clkid%3D179628268987475971&_qi=RTM2247626

Second link is also EBay and lists a starter for a 423 V6. It's just a shot in the dark as I'm not familiar with those engines so don't really know if it would work. Hopefully you'll get another response. Maybe that vendor has a source.

Good Luck and post some photos of your boat and engines when you are able.

Hi USMC3533, welcome to the club and thanks for your service!

I know for sure you can get the starter re-wound at a starter shop. If you go to the archives and search "starter" you can see a bunch of links. Or google oceanside ca...oh heck, I just did that. You guys have a TON of starter shops locally. You're a lucky guy!
