Re: '65 Dash Cluster Wiring Terminals

You are mistaken. I did not ask for a back story. As a matter of fact I specifically said I did not need that portion. You gave the back story in your first post. Why would I ask you to repeat it? As I said, I deleted because when I gave you 3 or 4 leads, you completely ignored them and repeated the story about when you were 19. Then I tried to get info to pin down what size the contact was. Ignored. Gave suggestions. Ignored and rejected. Tried to stay engaged and explain my side of your request. Explained that your request for an original PN was not doable in the restoration world. Just a request to match a picture was not info. You are helpless in the sense that you refuse to be helped for fear of sounding helpless.
You said you wanted a part number, you said you wanted something that "fits" you said you wanted "leads", In that order. I told you already why that didn't give us anything and I said "leads" for an unknown was waste of time until more info was given. I really do like to help. I did want to help you. I do not have a part number, I did give you leads.
For anyone who wants to help you, your pins are .093 Dia.

Re: '65 Dash Cluster Wiring Terminals

As stated I believe I have found replacements that will work without modification. They are the first ones in the 2nd link James provided.

Part # 42827-2
Barrel Dia 3/32 = 0.093
Barrel Lenth 1/4 = 0.250
Overall Length 19/32 = 0.593

They use the factory style crimp, and should fit fine. I'm looking for a supplier that sells them in a smaller quantity than 10000. Once I find the supplier I will order and try. I will post what I find.

Thanks,
Daniel

Daniel, If it's A104019TR-ND they are available in "oneses" for .20 cents each or 10 for .18 cents ,per the web page, as A104019CT-ND. (second one down). The company may have a minimum order dollar amount. When I bought some terminals from another vendor it was $25 Min.
I did try to checkout with 10 pieces and it looked like it was going to go. Shipping to CA. if 8 oz was $3.39 USPS ?? not sure if available. May be $12. Check it out. Good job James!

Re: '65 Dash Cluster Wiring Terminals

I've posted a link that is still waiting on approval by a moderator. Most places I've found have a minimum order around $50 plus shipping. Still better than buy 10000 of them. I'll be buying some extra in anticipation of them working, so it applies to the minimum order and will have some available to others if the fit.

I also need some spade type, and loop type since they don't include many in the kit from American Autowire. That will get me over the $50 minimum order.

Thanks,
Daniel

Re: '65 Dash Cluster Wiring Terminals

I posted they are available in quantities of 1. Do you copy? Over.

Regarding additional terminals, I believe you are speaking of blade and also ring tongue terminals. Those will be available everywhere.

Re: '65 Dash Cluster Wiring Terminals

Thanks Ken, I'll take a look at the interchange of "A104019TR-ND"

The $25 minimum would be better, but the other site I tried to add and check out, it added the additional charge to meet the minimum when I got to the page to pay.

Thanks,
Dani

No, they are called spade on the website I was looking at. Ring terminal is the correct term, not loop like I said for the others.

Are you needing the fork style or the solid style spade/blade?

I don't have an ego, but I'm not helpless either.
I asked "if anyone knows off the top of their heads" and "Any leads would be greatly appreciated."

I was happy with the links James provided (I didn't find them on my own) and was following that lead, but you continued to ask for more so I complied.

If a moderator decides the posts are not related, feel free to delete or modify as desired. At this point the only thing the back a forth is accomplishing, is keeping the post active for others that might have an answer to the original question. (or on the flip side; discourage anyone that might have a part number they had success with because they don't want to get in the middle).

I have found a couple on the links James provided that might work without modifying, and I'll order them when I find a supplier that will take a small order (less than 10000).

Thanks,
Daniel

Which one are you thinking about getting? I might be able to help you locate it.

Forked spade manufacturers part numbers;
60764-1
61855-1

And some extra type 56 terminals (male and female)

They have them at digi-key and the other site I was looking at.

The terminals I'm expecting to work for the gauge cluster are;
Manufacturer's part number is 42827-2.
That part number: A104019TR-ND is digi-key's part number for 20,000 pieces.
Digi-key's part number for individual pieces is: A104019CT-ND.

I've been using the manufacturer's part number since it works at all sites that carry the terminal.

Thanks,
Daniel
