Website Availability Issue - 12/27/2016
 

Many of you have noticed that the website and site mail was not available for about 70 minutes this morning. This was due to a power outage at the server farm that houses the 6066 GMC Club website. Transformers at a station nearby were overloaded and shut down.

At this time it appears that the issues have been resolved, however due to the nature of the problem we have been told to be prepared for future outages during the week until such time that a permanent solution is implemented by the power company after the first of January.

Until that time, we will be performing hourly backups to minimize data loss in the event that a surge adversely affects our system. This may cause our website to respond slowly at certain times until we can get things squared away.
