Hey everyone I am privileged to be here as an new guy , thank you ! :-)
I have an 66 GMC 3/4 ton that had 1960 split rims and the original chrome 66 caps w/ inside finger springs had to fit onto these 1982 chevy rims ....
Here is how I did it .....Any questions feel free ....

Just one ?... is that a wood spacer?? If so--I think it'd be a good idea to replace that with something metallic--just an idea

I did four , not just one .
Spacer is an nylon plex plastic just right thickness to meet spring to edge ratio . Holds up quite well .
Will post more pics when I figure how to do it here

Good suggestion using steel ...

Here is more pics .
Tough part ( after figuring ratio placement for holes) was drilling and bolting in the self tapping screws - those rims are made with almost hardened steel , maybe spring steel I don't know .
I used loctite and ground the underneath part off so lug bolt surface is true .
