Manual buying binge

I have found several good deals on manuals in the last few weeks, some are duplicates, but I like to have some to take to the shop and grease up. I will save these for the easy chair. I am still trying to find GMC Heavy duty gas engine manual 401 478 702. I have one but is falling apart. These are the manuals I recently purchased. x-6023 x-6223 x-6323 x-6423 x-6523 x-6434 x-6634, Not bragging, well maybe a little bit.

Hello, I am a nubie to this forum and am looking for whatever info / help I can find. Are any of the manuals more useful than others? I have a 63 Wideside 4wd (1 ton?) and I don't know much about it. I bought it about a year ago and have the original owner's manual and that's about it. Recently I saw a book that claimed to be an assembly manual. I wanted it but I didn't want to throw $40 at it if it wasn't going to be useful.

You will need the x-6023 and x- 6323 supplement. You really do not need the assembly manual.

You will need, at least, the X-6223 and X-6323 manuals. Those are the 1962 manual and the 1963 supplement.
The "assembly manual" (if it is the one I am thinking of) won't be any help.
You will also want to look around for the 4wd manual. Others in the group will probably know more along those lines.

If the first 3 characters in your VIN are:
K10 then it is a 4x4 1/2 ton 5000 GVW
K15 then it is a 4x4 3/4 ton 7500 GVW
K25 then it is a 4x4 1-ton, 10,000 GVW

If it doesn't start with any of those... then it may not have started life out in its current configuration.

I'm also a new K1000 owner... first I've heard of a 4WD manual. Anyone have more info about it?

The ones I have heard about are for the NAPCO package.
