I put a Summit Racing canister filter in the fuel line along the frame to catch anything abrasive before it gets into the mechanical fuel pump. This required cutting a piece out of the fuel line and getting parts to attach some flexible line on both sides of the filter (flexible hose, clamps, and barbed end fittings to the filter) plus drilling holes in the frame to mount the filter. This wasn't hard to do, but took me some time to figure out.
