The lifters should be flat on the cam side, never heard of them supposed to being domed.
I had a extremely low mileage 478M cam reground to performance specs and the cam shop also resurfaced the lifters, nothing domed about them. Chevrolet 235 inline six lifters are fully interchangeable with the V6 and you can get them solid or hydraulic.
