Default Re: Replacement Turn Signal Switch for GMC's?

Hi gentlemen,

I saw your post about wiring a turn signal switch. I have done a lot of research on this and the Chevy's switch do not work on GMC's - and the switch needed is very specific to the 1963. The correct part number is 2440829 for 1963 "G" series. The switch wire colors are identical to the Main Wiring Harness colors of the truck.

In later years, GM decided to use GM part number is 2452507 for "F" model 1963 trucks. You can go to http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=24576 to verify.

The only difference is the color of the wires. GM provided an "Instruction Sheet" in the box that details which color wire connects with the truck's Main Wiring Harness. Otherwise, the turn signal looks exactly the same!

Please see the attached scans.

I do have an extra NOS switch #2452507 that I bought on eBay several years ago for $149.94. Let me know it you are interested. Not looking to make a profit on this, just to cover what I paid.

Best!
