If you are talking about the bearing cup, many have chiseled or center punched big burrs on hub or cup and used Loctite bearing retainer compound and drive cup in. I have done this without any problems. There should not be a lot of torque with a new cup and bearing with good grease and proper preload. It does depend on the ID of the hub and how much gap there is to the new cup OD. (.001 or .010 per side?) Measure each , subtract and divide by 2.
