Default Re: trouble shooting turn signal switch

I finally got some time and decent weather.
1) I removed the Front Right from the Turn Signal Switch (TSS) and everything worked correctly. Left turn, and right rear turn. Left turn dash indicator light
2) then I swapped the Left Front into the RF on the TSS and it worked. (left front flashes on a right turn)
3) so the TSS didn't seem to be the problem
4) then I took a jumper wire from the TSS to the RF in the wiring harness in the engine compartment. the RF worked correctly, still no dash indicator
5) The dash indicator light ties into the FRONT turn signal wiring at the firewall. The RH feed to the dash indicator light apparently is shorted out, probably at the Panel Connectors that are on the right side of the steering column under the dash.
6) when I bypassed the wiring with new wiring from the firewall to the dash plug for the RH side everything worked as it should. Lights are bright all around. Dash indicator on for both RH and LH turns.
7) I still need to check the fuses and make sure they aren't too large
8) I had the dash out and the wiring plug that goes into the back of it off. For what its worth, mine isn't wired like this part of the "MD-92993-Cab, Engine, & Chassis Wiring Diaram". But everything seems to be working correctly.

onward....
