Default Old School - Paint Refresh

Hi, just throwing out my two cents. I'm a fan of original over restoration, but, love trucks in whatever flavor they're offered. As long as you love and appreciate what you have, I'm on your side.

My current, 65 GMC is a survivor, mostly original. My daily driver. I've read about options to bringing some life and a little sheen back to the paint. Options from a simple wash and wax, to Boiled Linseed, and on to paint ~ Clears - in flat, semi or gloss, etc...

I see lots of cars and trucks, and admire the choices.

I decided to try the Boiled Linseed and have to say I'm loving it,

Semi permanent, over time in will bake / fade / wear, then I'll be back where I started... In this case, my truck, I like that.

Has some sheen. Once some time passes, it becomes less "wet" or tacky... and it looks pretty good.

I left the center of the hood untouched, shows a pretty good contrast. (chalky and faded vs outer sections with a bit more color shine / sheen...)
