I will have to test my tach and see if it even works, the volt meter works. Is the arrangement in the dash right as your tach is on the left?

That is the correct arrangement if available with the Bat-O-Meter. If you had the Clock and Tach combo then the Tach would be on the Right. Basically the Bat-O-Meter was always mounted on the left and the clock always mounted on the right. The Tach could be either all depending on what combination of gauges you had. If you wanted all three the Bat-O-Meter could be mounted on the bottom of the dash, I've got that particular mount. The clock could be mounted in a special housing on top of the dash. Don't know if GMC offered the Tach with the steering column mount housing but that would also be a good alternative
