Hello Fetch,

I'm not familiar with the "hushmobile", so I'll have to do a little research on that.

The bottom pics you referred to are Mercury's. I believe that body style was late '40s to early '50s, and it's common to see the top chopped. If you saw the movie Cobra with Sylvester Stallone, I think that was a '50 Merc. That car (cars) took a beating in that movie. Now, that's the only car that you can spin 180 while speeding down the freeway, drive in reverse at highway speeds, so you can shoot the bad guys behind you, then spin the car back around. I think the '50 model was the only year that had that option from the dealer.

I didn't really care much for those Mercs 20-30 years ago, but they've been growing on me over the years. The grill is one of my favorite parts of the car.
