Default Gmc 637 v-8

Wanted to share a video that got posted recently online. The 637 V-8 is the engine that replaced the 702 V-12. It was made approx from '66 to '72. I used to drive a '71 GMC 9500 with a 637 along with the rare combination of a 10-Speed Road Ranger Trans. Although they are very different internally, the 637 is like a 478 V-6 with 2 extra cylinders "welded" on it. They have the same amount of Cubic Inches per cylinder. This engine sounds pretty different without an exhaust system on it and typically, not as good:
