Don't need new starter if pinion not worn. They are not easy to find anyway. What do you mean "only on the starter side"? Meaning starter not engaging far enough you think? In that case should be equal wear/damage all around? (People say motors stop in same position) Anyway maybe a new bendix is available.
Yeah, the closer I look at that AMS AUTOMOTIVE 167654 flywheel, the more I think it is not the right one. The center bore is way too big and would require a much larger pilot bearing. I might give AMS a call tomorrow to confirm. Sorry, the damage is only on the engine side of the flywheel, but not the entire circumference.
