installing 700r Transmission
351e V6
I am removing my Turbo 400 and going to install a 700 4speed Transmission. I have noticed the flex plate has a different bolt diameter than the new converter. Has anyone done this and have any in site. I would also like to know if anyone knows if anyone makes Headers for these engines Last edited by archie; July 23rd, 2019 at 09:10 PM. |

Re: installing 700r Transmission
I found this info on the web.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...s-spacers.html If possible you might be able to drill new holes for the Th700R4. Hope this help. Please keep us in the loop on your project. Last edited by James; July 25th, 2019 at 01:27 AM. Reason: Updated. |

Re: installing 700r Transmission
I bought a 351 with the automatic adapter and 700R4 at an auction a couple of years ago. Sold the 700R4 and used the engine with my 4 speed manual. I still have the adapter, flywheel/flexplate and the torque converter. I'll try to get some pictures tonight and see if it tells you anything.

Re: installing 700r Transmission
Sorry it took so long to get back to this. Here is the picture of the flywheel setup. Thought I had the torque converter also but couldn't find it.
