Default Good Addition to the Site

I've never owned one, but they are interesting engines. The '67 GMC 7500 I had, originally had a Toro-Flow in it and it still had the cool Toro-Flow Emblems on the hood, but it got replaced by a 6V-53 Detroit.

I remember them in the '62 to '66 GMC 5000's and always wished that my '62 GMC 6500 had one, although I was pretty happy with the 478 Gas.

There is a guy in Northern CA that has two for sale, they came out of boats, here is the info he sent me:

Hi: I have a pair of GMC toro-flow's, fully marinized that are up for grabs.

Basically they are on the way to the scrappers unless I can find anyone who has an interest in owning them.

Let me know soon if you can, they are on my truck and I need the truck back in a week or 2. I am in Northern California. Could deliver. Will drop at a shipping terminal....

Yes will be a good section to have on the forum, I have a DH478 that I really want to put in a truck, and for those that are confuesed by 478 CID that.s 7.8L.

There was even a Twin Turbo Toro-Flow used in some buses, below should be a pic of one. also there is a pic of my engine and two trucks I found online with Toro-Flows installed.

If I were close by, I would sure like to have those Marine engines. But it turns out that they are about 2800 miles from me!!

I know the feeling. Stuff like that is always to far away. Wonder if they ended up as scrap?

Maybe one day I'll put my D478 to good use, or sell it to someone who will. I scored it on this side of the country off ebay about 6 years ago. When I got there to pick it up, the guy threw in a stuck but pretty much complete 305 for just taking it with the Toro_Flow.
