Default Jolly's Toro-Flow

A guy e-mailed me, said he had a Toro-Flow he just pulled out of a truck he was going to put in a 471 DD, and he would be moving shortly after that, so if he didn't find some one who wanted it it was going to scrap. I replied back i would pay scrap for it, about $75. It was not too far away in Twin Falls, so off to Twin I go to pickup the engine. when I get there he has it hanging in a barn, so I back my trailer in under it and bring this beast home.

Great buy. Nice that it is not that far away from you.

I have been thinking of putting it in the 2500, but if I can find a LCF or B-Model cab, then I would put in in the LCF chassis I got sitting here.

There was a time that I was considering a Toro-Flow for my '64 C-30, but the 6-292 ran great, pulled great and sounded sweet with the less restrictive GMC V-6 Muffler I put on it. If I was starting off with no engine and had a spare Toro-Flow, it would have found it's way into that truck for sure.

There are a couple B model trucks sitting around here, one of which is a '61 (if i rember right) 4000 series with a shortend frame and a fifth wheel plate. The guy was willing to sell that one and said to make an offer, but times are tough so I haven't done it yet. The other is a long chassis tandem axle truck with an Omaha farm bed mounted on it. this one hasn't moved in the ten years I have known of it. There is one more that I am having a hard time rembering where it was...

Right now is not a good time for me to be looking for another truck, and it would have to be closer than Belgrade MT, but that is not that far either from me.

its just out staninding in it's field. If some one was to drive by with $500 cash & a trailer it could follow them home.
