Default Correct Rad Cap?

I want to make sure I'm running the correct radiator cap. What does the group consensus call for with s 305 A V-6 mated to a hydra-matic? Part number is good as well.

Thanks
Jake

When I got my '60 3/4 with a 305A in 1970, it had a cap with a broken spring, hence no pressure in the cooling system.
I am still using that cap with no ill effects, in hot or cold weather, that I can tell.

IIRC a 7lb cap should be factory. At least that's what I've got in my notes.

Ok, that's what I'll go with. I have the overflow tube and am trying to figure out a decent reservoir tank/bottle, what y'all got?

I found a reservoir from a toyota corolla fits perfectly between the radiator and the battery area. No bolts needed, its sized perfectly to pressure fit right in there. Holds a good amount too. No symbols or anything, it's just a white tank.

I have 7lb cap as well and I just got one of those generic over the counter units at AutoZone.

I have a 13 pounder on my 305E. Seems to work fine.

I had to search my build thread again. I couldn't remember the year. It was a 1992 Toyota Camry, not a corolla. Oops!

Here's the post about it with a pic of it installed.
