I've tried the new aftermarket front fenders could not make them work correctly, (went back with OEM) and found the top of the fender holes to be misplaced. You can fix by drilling a slightly bigger hold, but you will have a bigger hold to see. The one person who can make anything work correctly is either Captain FAB or Tony over at 4-5-6 Chevy.

A few years back I was working on a 65 or 66 Chivy C10, the customer brought in some reproduction fenders, they did not fit even close. I ended up cutting the top mounting surfaces off the original fenders and grafting them to the new fenders which gave it the proper fit and of course the metal is a lot thinner on the reproduction fenders

Not a fan of re-pop fenders for the reasons mentioned by others, and in addition there is a fairly large gap between the outer and inner skins of about 1/4 inch. I think you are way better off to keep the OEM and fix them, if possible. Some are not repairable.
Regarding OEM, there was a pair of NOS front fenders on eBay about a month ago that fetched around $1,700... they were in their original GM boxes.
