Default Source for dash bulb plugs sockets and LED lights

Im not sure what theyre called but I pulled my dash off a few months ago and the little socket that holds the bulb just disintegrated in my hand. Does anyone know of a place that sells new ones that fit right?

For the most these sockets are a dealer item, sometimes you can find them at major auto parts store in the "HELP" section but realistically any wrecking yard is the best source. Any GM product will have these sockets so just grab a handfull. Pete Chronis Northern Cal.

Jim lit a new fire under my butt for these again. I never make it to a junkyard so finding a replacement I can order or pick up is pretty important. I can tell you that O'Reileys Auto Parts carry a part labeled 194 by Echo that looks a pretty close to the stock bulb sockets, but it does NOT fit. It is about 1mm too skinny and the contacts are raised too high.

I have been talking with an LED provider about a replacement fit socket and also Rock Auto, which says theirs are direct fit. I'll update you guys when I get my order in.

Ok good news! The Rock Auto light bulb sockets fit! Theyre also interchangable with several models of car too so i'll post that in a thread about interchangable parts for dashes

Here's the part number AIRTEX Part # 6S1037 cost is $4.04 each
www.Rockauto.com

I found LED lights that work perfectly too. See this thread.
