Default Correct temperature sending unit for my 305

Hi everyone, so my gauge says it's ruining hot. Now I'm wonder it the sensor I purchased from Carquest it not correct. Can anyone verify that this is the wrong tempture unit. I'm guessing based on everything I read here I need to order the Airtex 1t1062 part number.

You didn't show any pics but if its showing VERY hot and you're sure it's not then you likely got one of the new sensors. You can order the airtex one or you can put a 33 ohm resistor in the line. I did that with mine and it works great. There's a link in my signature with step by step pictures.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.
