Default GMC Factory Trailers

Hello, I just ran across this today. Does anyone have one? Or know how long they were produced? Thanks, GM

Seen some 60's trailers around here...but not sure weather they were factory or trucks that had the frame cut in half. lol

According to Rob English at oldgmctrucks.com these trailers were made in 1937 and 1938. He had a posting tonight about them on Facebook.

Hey Doug, I am surprised they did not come back after the Depression. I guess they figured they wanted to sell whole trucks and not half trucks. I used my old gut bucket (1949 Dodge) trailer as a truck while my GMC was in pieces for three years. For the most part, it got the job done. I want to find or build one to match my truck. That would look cool. Maybe get a camper shell to haul on it. That may be my next big project. Later, Greg

Used to own own myself. Made the mistake of selling it.
