A few questions:

Does any one have pictures of the location of the cross sills (still attached to the underside of the bed?

And does any one have a picture of the placements. I have the MAR-K install pages, but it does not go into detail as to where/what side to use?

I'm doing my best to photo document this build so others can stop the guessing.......but I'm a bit stuck as to the placement.

Here's a pic of some of them (the back 2) on Cecilia, but she's a long stepper. I don't know if it helps at all.

If they're the same for yours then I'll take full pics tomorrow for ya.

Fetch your looks slightly different, as many of us know there are two different size of under bed cross sills. 5 taller and 1 shorter. I have the 8' bed and cant remember in what position they go. I lost the one picture I really need back from 2000 when we stripped the bed off the frame.

I laid out the cross rails on the frame, anyone know if these are correctly placed?

Thanks

Jake,

Maybe these photos will help. The first is my original 1960 GMC Fenderside bed with cross sills still attached. The 2nd & 3rd pictures we were laying out the placement of the new parts.

If these photos are not viewable, go to Bed Cross Sill Photo Album at http://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?albumid=309 or I can email them to you directly.

Before any mounting do a double check with the bright work that comes with the bed boar kit. The holes are spaced to match the cross braces remember the double holes go to the cab first hole mounts to front of bed. Second is in first cross brace. Hope this helps

Looks awesome, Jake! I hope you live up out of the flood zone now, so the next Katrina doesn't destroy your truck like it did your first one.

My wife was puzzled when I started hauling parts upstairs;) no were ok this time, I'm a fare distance away from the flooding. My council district did real good.

All done.

Nice! I have a long bed like that myself that needs work. Do you have any pics of the progression of your work on that bed?
