Hello. Just saw a Craigslist ad in Omaha for a '67 GMC 305V6, auto Camper 3/4 ton for $900. Hope link works.

https://omaha.craigslist.org/cto/5671836744.html

I didn't see anywhere else to post this. And I needed to post so I could look at pics. I want to check out the build threads. Don't hate me for no pics of my truck yet.

So, I'm Scott. I just bought a 1962 2503 w/ 305D, 4spd, dually w/flatbed & lift gate. The poor thing hasn't run in 5 years, but supposedly ran good according to the widow. It looks complete. Will need a lot of work. The body has lots of dents, some rust, cracked windshield, bad tires, etc. What do you expect for $700? I probably would've passed on it, but I've never had a GMC V6 before. I spent 2 hrs looking it over & talking to the widow. Then forgot to take pics & get tire size.:banghead: It has newer 4 hole duallys, so could be anything. I know I could get it legal & running fairly cheap. Just won't be restored right away. It has a couple of cool mods: 130amp alternator, Holley 2 brl, & the massive lift gate that looks as old as the truck. It's electric/hyd, so not sure how old. Currently, the truck is at the sellers farm an hour from home. And I drive OTR. Won't be home for couple weeks. Will get lots of pics then. In the mean time, I will learn about the V6 & check out the site.

Thanks,
Scott

Welcome to the forum Scott and thanks for the CL find!
I post them or any interesting EBay finds in the Market place section. I also thought the Cruisers came with Buddy Buckets but I may be wrong.

Thanks for the welcome!
TJ- Nice videos. I watched two. Will watch more later. Videos burn data fast. I will have questions once I know what to ask. Only one I have now is: Know any good water pump rebuilders? This one has shaft wobble. Bad. I went to turn engine by hand. Found the wobble and really thin aftermarket fan blade. At least the PO added an electric fan.

Funky61- I have no clue about the seats. Never seen a GMC or Chevy with them. As for the '67, I thought the autos were sought after. I personally will never own one. I like sticks.
Hopefully I get home soon so I can play with my new truck!

Welcome! I can't confirm that this is the correct water pump, but summit racing says it fits the GMC 305 V6. I would call them to confirm prior to ordering.

A buddy of mine got a water pump for his 305 through Rock Auto I believe. No issues so far with it. :ok:

I would be careful ordering a water pump (or anything) from Rockauto. A few months ago I placed an order for some other items and figured I would also get a new water pump for $16, even though I didn't need one. Well, it was the wrong one. It is still sitting on my shelf since it is a hassle to return things through Rockauto. I just looked on their website and they are still selling the wrong item (Cardone 5511140) for my 65 burb. Lesson learned. Always know the exact part# you need before ordering anything from Rockauto.

Sweet! The pump at Summit looks right. Not that I committed it to memory. I saw the listing on Rock Auto, but not in stock. I have always had good luck w/RA. Looks like the Cardone is for a GM 250 inline 6. Maybe try trading w/local Chevy truck guy for something you can use?
Thanks guys!

Just looked through rock auto listings. The burb has wrong pump listed. Some trucks have the correct pump, but not in stock. And some don't have pump listed, just gasket.
Is the pump the same for all 305 V6 with maybe different housings? I think I saw mention of different water pump height for bigger trucks.
