I have seen some gasket set prices that people pay. I bought a Head Gasket set for $25, it was a Fel-Pro set from Auto Zone. It was a Head Set which included Head Gaskets, Exhaust, Intake, Valve Cover, Valley Pan, Fuel Pump, Collector (3 different sizes) Water Outlet. Part # HS 7961, it also had an SB-1 after the part number so I don't think that is necessary. I ordered it in the morning and had it before 5PM. There were other gaskets in the kit but until I take the motor apart I cannot tell you what they are for. I think one may be for the canister on the back of the block. GOOD LUCK !

Everywhere I see that set it is $54.99. The interesting thing is it seems to have both style oil filter gaskets. Cartridge and spin. Wonder if they sell just the spin gasket somewhere?

So let's look at some numbers: Called a known vendor and the head gaskets only were $90.00 ea for the 6 cylinder. Gasket set $250. So if you get a set for $60.00, great. Called Olson's for a gasket set for the V-12, hold on to you seat now folks, "$1100.00":lolsmack2:

They got em'!!!

That is why I posted this set. it appears after doing a little searching, I have found that some of us are getting gouged for the parts which are still available. I will post any other finds that I come across. I did lie on the first post, it was $29.95 without the tax.
