Working on hooking up my Stewart Warner 4000 RPM tach in my Suburban - been working with Texas Instruments Electric on having a cable made plus a 90 degree box to clear my foot feed / auto transmission linkages - Texas Electric want to know if the GMC engine adapter male tang that is sticking out of adapter is removable (would make it simpler for them) - I don't want to force the tang in FEAR of breaking it and ending up SOL. Was there a AC Delco/ GMC adapter that I'm missing? Anyone else ever put one of these back together? :helpsign: Thanks Cliff

My mistake - the company's name is Texas Industrial Electric - not Texas Instruments Electric. Cliff

Cliff, are you talking about a speedo adapter?
Do any of the photos here from your old post help?

Thank You for being helpful on bringing the idea of looking at the old photos posted a couple years ago. Pictures shows that the tach adapter on the engine has a female tang hole instead of the male tang on mine - guess I should pull harder on removing the male tang and expose the female side of it - I wanted to make sure before I broke it off trying ton remove it. Thanks again. Cliff

Cliff, I'd still like to see what you have going on there.
