A person I know on my garden tractor site has this very nice toy from the 60's. Ideal did a pretty darn nice job on it and the V-6 emblem is even faintly visible on the sides of the hood.
Just thought some of you may get a kick out of it like I did.

As a kid I had this particular truck along with a GMC tow truck and it also came with a set of road tracks you could run it on.:upyes:

It was called Motorific, made by Ideal in the mid-60's to late 70's. Basically they were battery powered slot cars:

Had some interesting and well detailed bodies. I had a big old International cement mixer.

Thanks for the comments! I also had a Motorific track in the mid sixties. I lost it in a flood in 1972. The only car I remember with it was a dark blue 1963 Chevy Impala. Mom drove a white one between the 1960 and 1970 GMC's she had.

Funny how you lost yours in the mid 60's, a similar thing happened to my motorific tracks back in 1969. I decided to bring them back home from our summer house that would get flooded sometimes in the winter back to San Francisco. I set the tracks in the bed of my fathers 68 GMC, once he hit the freeway around 3 of the tracks blew right out so from that point on I only had a partial track setup

Lost it in '72, along with everything else we owned except Mom's '70 GMC. We got out in that. I also had lots of HO and 1/24th slot car stuff too.
That's ironic, Pete, you try to save your tracks from water damage and end up having them blown away instead!
