Might post a wtb ad in the classifieds. Lot's of members with v6 parts for sale, and I'm sure someone will have what you need.
Might look into converting to the new style spin on filter as well. :ok:

On these engines, the oil filter attaches to a bolt-on housing at the left (driver's) side rear of the engine block. The early housings and those used on the large V-6's usually used the canister-type filter, many of the later ones used a spin-on type filter. However, some V-6's had no oil filter at all, and just had a plate bolted on the engine to block off the passages to the filter housing. Adding an oil filter is simply a matter of bolting on an oil filter housing as TJ pointed out.

Now time for some trivia- some late production spin-on oil filter housings were slightly larger in diameter and took a Chevy style filter (PF35) instead of the Buick/Pontiac/Olds (PF24) type. Extra points if you score one of those!
