Just bought a 1960 Gmc truck. After taking it out a couple times, coolant is leaking from behind the housing that the water pump fits into. I'm assuming it's a gasket between the block and whatever the housing is called? Since I don't know what the housings called, I'm not sure what gaskets I need. Any help would be appreciated. It's a 305 v6.

If you are sure it's not the water pump gasket it's the timing cover. But replace WP gasket anyway.

A word of caution. My 64 305E V6 water pump is held on by 1/4" bolts that can be broken (twisted off) while trying to get the gasket tight. I found out the hard way, but stopped when I felt it start to give and had used enough gasket sealant to keep things from leaking.
