oil pump

I have two oil pumps and was wondering what the difference between them is if anyone can help that would be great.

the one on the right is 2449572 A12 V (round ends)
left is 668593 A4

The one on the right is definitely the lighter duty oil pump used on 305 and 351 engines, the pump on the is the heavy duty version used on bigger displacement V6 engines.

Thank you bigblockv6 for the reply, I thought it was the other way around seeing the gear was a lot thicker on the rounded end one.
