Hi to everyone. This is my 1962 GMC 6500 that I purchased back around Thanksgiving 2018. It has the 478 gas which runs good. 5+2 transmission with air brakes. Was an old fire truck but the bed is long gone. I haven’t decided what to do with it, I just fiddle with it as time and money allows. Thanks for having me and maybe I will make progress on my project now.

Welcome Oldsteel to the Club!

I'll flip them pics for you; Very Nice Truck:coolphotos:

Looks to have lots of Chrome/Stainless; bumper and trim and mirrors from Custom Package. Also I noticed the AIRBRAKE stamped on the pad. More pics with the 478 when possible.

Welcome to the forum, Oldsteel! If that seat upholstery is original, it looks like you've got a low-mileage truck. Congratulations on your find! Looking forward to more photos.

Interesting truck. I used to drive a '62 6500 pretty much like it. Only difference is that mine didn't have the Chrome package and I just had standard Air Horns. Wheel Base even looks the same. Mine had a 16 Ft Flatbed Dump on it. Does it have a 2-Speed Rear?
