Hello gents, It is my understanding that the cooling system capacity is 32 quarts or 8 gallons. I drained the radiator, pulled the two block plugs left and right, flushed the whole system with a hose. When adding the 50/50 coolant, it took 6.5 gallons or about 26 quarts. Is this normal or did I not get it all out? I ran the heater as well thinking that might help. The truck is a 1965 2500 Panel. Thanks in advance.

Amazing the amount of coolant, equally puzzling to me is the lack of a fan shroud

My had a fan shroud. But I removed it because it was butcher up when the air conditioner was installed.

what about radiator partialy plugged, that could explain why the lack of capacity. take cap off, drain rad down untill you can see core tubes. check for deposits on core tubes.
