Looking a 1965 pricelist (a picture thereof) to get a general idea of what a base model 1500 with the 305 V6 and SM420 costs.

Base model is also fine (without options). Just to get an idea for the insurance (they want to know for some reason)

I can find a pricelist for 1965 Chevrolet C10's etc., but the only GMC advertisement I come across is that is costs $49 more than the competition.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the original sales price in 1965? If so it will be on most titles. If you are looking for value of your truck right now, you use recent sales. (regional comps)The words price "list" is throwing me.
NADA has original and present values. The present values are not usable in any sense except if advantageous for your purpose.

1965 1/2T (C10) Fleetside long MSRP 1965 $2060, low retail now $19,200. My zip

1965 GMC 1000 Wideside long $2075........$11,500. My zip

Many insurance companies require an appraisal. So I had to pay I guy who was certified. Who didn't know anything, and asked me what price I wanted to put down on his report.

Now I am VERY careful NOT to mention antique, classic, restored, vintage.......... I just say to my company that has all my other vehicles...I want to add a 1960 GMC truck....and let them ask what they want to ask. I say It's just a truck I use once in awhile and it's worth XXXX. The hot shot big classic insurers want a garage with a lock, with a TV and heat and A/C :goodluck:

Thanks for the reply Ken. My title is newer, only mentions the "2nd hand" price.

Cannot accees the NADA site, blocked for EU.

I have a good idea of what the truck is worth now, but they want the original retail from 1965. I thought 5 grand (1965 retail) at first and they would not believe me. Turns out it is even lower.

The standard insurance here is based off resale value. A classic car insurance wants it appraised. But I can only get a classic insurance if I have a another (primary) car, which I dont have.

Will give them a call.

Thanks, but I'm not in the USA.

Insurance should be ready to go. Think I got her insured for a reasonable price.

Regarding your post Ken: how stupid having to hire a guy who doesn't know anything and asks you for a value. got a kick out of that.
They can keep their locked garages, A/Cs, and whatnot haha

Why don't you just post what it says for his truck?

I thought people on this site might want another resource for valuations. Every valuation is an opinion, ive never seen this truck, dont know anything about it, not my place to put a number on something i know nothing about.

Glad you got it sorted.

Just to clarify for the record: Was only asking for what Hagerty valuation says. I did not ask for anyone to personally evaluate. Simply report what the website says for various states of condition. Not that big of a deal to do for a 1965 GMC truck. Very few options. Just a ball park basic truck of what Hagerty shows. Especially after you stated you live out of the USA and can't get into some sites because of EU restrictions. Would have been good to have it for the archives. Especially if someone was already registered which seems like they were. Guess they missed the point.

I had no trouble posting what NADA shows. Just used a few brain cells. Neither NADA nor I have seen the truck.
