First post, in the process of purchasing a truck. Need to get it running and then to the tires and or wheels.

Getting it running should not be an issue. Tires on it now are 8-17.5. Not that they are unobtanium, just in my area. It has solid rims, that is a plus as no one will work on lock ring or split rims in this area.

I am trying to figure out the center diameter and bolt circle diameter for a 1963 2500 medium duty small grain truck. I would like to see if 16 inch wheels will clear everything on both front and rear.

Any help is appreciated.

I can't help, don't have a 2500, but someone should be along soon to let you know. If someone doesn't chime in and you get it, post up your measurements and we'll help you find some OEM style tires and wheels for it.

We have agreed to buy it pending running condition and enough tires to be able to move it out of the building it is stored in. It has been setting fir 10 years or more. Out of the weather but dirt floor, tires are shot.

i have 63 gmc 2503 8 lug dually.. i used square body dually wheels and tires for mine i had some left over but you have to use tapered lug nuts and or drill and press in bigger studs bc the stud sizes are 1/16 different between each other. But i bought half inch tapered lug nuts and it tightened right up and driving around fine so far. Some people will argue that you have to put bigger studs on it but from what i noticed that is not the case...

@ Gwhizzard

You did not have clearance issues anywhere with 16 inch wheels did you?

I appreciate the help. I have scoured the recesses looking for info and was headed to the salvage yard tomorrow to see if I could find 2 to try.

Gives me hope!

It isn’t too bad a few things need attention, like they took the seat out and built a wooden deck with cushions.

More to come when We get it rolling under it’s own power

Nope Not at all i put all new brake components on it except for the drums bc they are hard to find. But they bolted up and no clearance issues. but i run a little smaller tire size on the front then the rears. ill try to post picture up of mine so you can see it... Your truck looks good though hope you save her.
