Light Up Dash Knob?

Hey guys, What is the purpose of the light up GMC knob on the dash? Its the orange knob in the middle of the Pic.9921

It's a rare 4-way hazard flasher switch. Neat option to have. they made several over the years, one for GMC with the letters embossed, one for Chevy with bowties and plain ones for other makes and models. I have mine mounted in the accessory hole next to the ignition.

Thanks For the help guys! I know its frowned upon a lil bit, but I am doing alot of major changes. I have a Custom Upholstery shop and am turning my 66 into a DD that also shows off the shops abilities. Picking and choosing how to meld the Vintage with Modern. I'll keep yall updated.

Don't worry about it, it's your truck and most all of us have modified pieces/parts to make them better. Just enjoy her.
