I tried to search the forum for power steering answers , I was just wondering what power steering conversions are out there for. 63 gmc truck 1/2 ton? The conversion kits are spendy so I was looking for a set up for my truck

Sorry if there is a post about this , I tried searching

If you can find an OEM pump bracket, you can junkyard the rest. from a 75-85 full size Chevy or GMC truck, that's what I did. I went to a local pick & pull, found a P/S pump and Saginaw steering unit. You want to use the Capt. Fab mount bracket ONLY, the others do not work. Are you on Facebook, if so, send a message and I'll send you picks of my swap.

For sure, use the Captain Fab mount and the variable-ratio Saginaw 800 Series power steering box from a 1/2 ton late 70's to late 80's Chevy/GMC pickup. You will need to use the correct pitman arm for cross member clearance. When you get your parts lined up there's people here to help you. If you find a OEM PS pump mount - pay the price and walk away with it! You will thank yourself many times over.
