Its in the shop manuals. And motors manuals. I don't have one here or I would post a pic.

My 305D was leaking like crazy, so I pulled it out couple of years ago, cleaned it, changed all the gaskets (except head gaskets) and put some fresh paint on it.

Mine has a twist on draft canister on each valve cover. At the time, I soaked them and cleaned them. As for the one in the block behind the driver side valve cover, I didn't do anyhting with it. It drips a little oil from the down tube each time after I drive it. I don't have any other leaks.

Should I do something with the block canister with the down tube? Do I need to pull it off and flush it out?

Thank you Barry - so is there a diagram that shows the head bolt sequence?

Attached is a picture from my MOTOR's manual (21st Edition)... You will also notice my notes from when I did mine a couple a years ago.

Run engine until it reaches normal operating temperaure, tighten head bolts in proper sequence using 65-72 ft.lbs., and while the engine is still hot, adjust intake valve lash to 0.012" and exhaust valve lash to 0.018".

Good luck.
