My understanding is that the 63 (305D) didn't have pcv valves in the heads. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Out of the 62 manual it says the 305D engines had breather caps on the valvecover and a road draft tube, so no pcvs.
I believe it was said on other motors with pcv those engines will have a fresh air filter and canister located on the block behind the drivers side head, same place as to where the road draft tube is on 305D engines. |

Not sure the 305E applies the same ventilation as 305D ?? won 63 305E there is a filter behind driver side crankcase no other have I found ?? JM:signthankspin:

63 is the first year for a positive crankcase ventilation system. In that system, there are 2 pcv valves, one under each cover, and a crankcase ventilation filter in a housing located behind the left cylinder head. The part number for the pcv valves AC/Delco type CV623C, and the filter is Napa/WIX 2718/42718. I hope this is of some assistance in your search.
