The 205 thing is funny. I grab the ones you don't get. I have wondered who grabs the other ones. Call you soon

I bought a bunch off it to, areally cool bird hood ornament for 20.00. There is two two tons with v6 engines also. Go talk to Tim at the Spaulding counter at the north store. I think there is a j truck out back. It's all out behind the crusher. Lots of cool old stuff out there. It costs more but they are not crushing it for years. Also they don't charge to wander. I also know a bunch of old back woods scroungers from kalispell to enterprise Oregon . The Oregon guy just brought a 56 Willis wagon and on the 18 th is bringing a 58 Willis truck. No charge and with papers . This guy finds the craziest stuff. So if you want let me know what you need or want and maybe we can go treasure hunting.

Oh man, don't tell me about willys stuff, you're going to make me cry tears of happiness! LOL.
It was good talking to you on the phone. I am not familiar with their "new old yard". I was just out there last Friday and saw the J4000 one ton that's been picked clean. Maybe I'll head up there this weekend... Do you want to meet up there this SAT., or SUN.?

Thanks for the voicemail. I went out there and put in a request for a few parts. Tim will get back to me on Monday when he gets back to work. Something tells me it'll be pricey.

They did have 3 GMC trucks with the V6's. No power steering brackets, but one was set up for AC!

I was able to snag a few parts off that 65. There are no new GMC V6s at the north side lot- or the valley.

Block Heater?

Can anyone verify this as the right block heater?

One step closer to PS.

I snagged a few parts. One of which is the bracket that my jeep needs for the power steering unit to mount to the frame. It's a factory piece for jeep that did not roll out of the factory with power steering, but later on the dealership could add PS in the buyer wanted it (or so the jeep urban legend goes).

I don't know if GMC had something similar, but I bet this part could be used for just about any vehicle for a PS conversion.

One step closer to power steering.

Re: New Guy Alert

I was looking for a 'for sale' section, but did not see one. So I figured I'd post it here on the thread:

While I am keeping the truck as a father-son project, I am selling the v6 305 engine. It have it for sale locally on Craigslist, I am also posting it here.

It is complete minus the after-market 2 bbl Holly carb. The adapter to mate the Holly carb comes with it, as does the bell housing. The tranny adapter and transmission does not go with the engine.

I am asking 350.00, or best offer. I can palletize it and take it to a freight depot for the cost of materials if need be, as I now have a 2 ton engine hoist.

It runs strong, but a change in one area, dicates a few changes in other areas if ya know what I mean.

I am in the process of trying to restore the pics in the threads.

In addition to selling the engine, I am willing to also part it out if the engine as a whole-working-unit can't be sold.

Lol. It could've gone to a forum member, but it sold to a farmer in Ritzville, WA. to replace the 305 in his one ton GMC.

I'll post pics of the removal. I asked the guy for pics of the truck it will be going into and he said it wasn't pretty enough for a picture. I guess this 305 has to get back to work after many decades of down time.
