Thanks pasadenajim! Both trucks are long beds... the yellow/white 4WD that is towing is pretty rusty... but runs great... it was a very fun journey towing home... spent an hour or more at every gas stop talking to GMC truck enthusiasts!

I know there has been a lot of talk about this subject, however, there are several GMC brochures (some for sale on ebay, and floating around the 'net) which show the GMC KV4000 factory 4WD.

In this thread below, Funky61 links to another thread from the udder forum which has detailed specs on the 2-ton+ 4 wheel drives. Possibly GMC contracted NAPCO to build them, but the brochures and specs appear to show them as factory vehicles.

im not saying they were not 4bys , just not done at factory, dealerships or some other source napco, and coleman were products used to transform them into 4 wheel drive
