Choke bracket simple fell apart
 

We have the 305 tuned sweet. We went to move the choke and the entire mount bracket simple started breaking apart in pieces. It looks like pot metal. There are fractures all through the parts. I've never cleaned it or soaked it in cleaner. Mybfried thinks that it was soaked too long in carb cleaner at some point and it effected the metal. Anybody else even have this happen to the?

There no no streep on the bracket and it came factory mounted with the holley 500CFM 2 barrel.

I found a replacement kit at summit and speedway, but need to make sure there are sreel
