Rust in fender corners

I may getting ahead of myself, but I am looking to start stocking up on the panels I need to repair the fenders. They are rusted in the typical spot I have seen on these models over the years, down at the bottom where the fender corner meets the cowling. I see repair panels for the skin corners, but what do I need for the attachment in the corners, are there specific pieces I can buy and patch in or do I have to make those parts.

I have done this type of patching before on vehicles, where I have had to patch the inner wheel well. I have found vendors like Fix my Rust, they seem to have a wide variety of panels, I just don't know what goes where as far as the inner parts and what is available as a formed item.

These might come in handy. There are pinch clips that hold this part in place. I would like to suggest adding a little seam sealer or rope sealer when attaching this panel (or your used one) to the fender. When you order a replacement fender (not recommended) this reinforcement panel is not included.

Thanks, I was looking at that part and another that is smaller that may be against the lower cowl area. I was looking at a video of someone making a fender repair, are the clips that hold this piece onto the fender available, if not what is used? I haven't seen them offered on the sites that have the repair panels.

Just use your old clips - but be careful, they are 50 years old.

Using the old clips maybe a good intention, but with an item that can break due to it's age are there any options if it does. I would make every attempt to use them over, but is there a solution to that not being available. has anyone come up with a substitute attachment that works?
I ordered a body assy guide book, so I can at least see how the areas in question are put together.
I am a long way from working on the body yet, getting it running is the first priority, just the weather is keeping indoors right now.
