Need Help with Powerglide Linkage

I am in the process of restoring a 1966 GMC 1000 with a 351 V6 and a powerglide transmission. I bought the truck disassembled and have got the drivetrain installed but am having trouble figuring out the transmission linkage hookup. It has what appears to be a kick-down and a separate shift lever coming out of the transmission. I may have the parts I need, but need a picture or diagram of how the linkage connects. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey F4 (awesome screen name btw) I don't know c'mere from sic'em but do you have the 60's maintenance manual? If not I can look through it for ya and photo some of the pics to see if it helps. It looks like this:

Well I was gonna show a pic but there one on Ebay right now for 12 bucks. I paid 60 for mine. lol.

Thanks for the reply and ebay link. I have a maintenance manual, but it doesn't show the linkage for the powerglide. I will take a look at the ebay listing. I worked on the F4's at St. Louis back in the 60's.

That's cool! My dad worked on the "YF"-22 at "generous" dynamics a few years ago. It became a joke to ask him about what he did at work every day and he'd say "Not a da** thing". Due to security he couldn't talk about anything he did at work after they started that project. He used to tell us stories about crazy stuff every few days then all of a sudden we got the stiff-arm. We still tease him about it from time to time. :lolsmack2:

F4 was one of my lil bro's fav planes too. He was a real wing nut. Would have probably joined A&P classes if he had stayed away from the bad influences.

I didn't find any great powerglide pics (posted what I found), but I read that they're very similar to dynaflows so I posted a closeup of one of those too. I think Coyote worked on a few of the powerglides. You might try to pm him (coyoterun)

:winter: I just went out and took some pictures of mine. Throttle linkage comes out to a rocker assembly mounted on the rear of engine. One rod come off of this, and goes down for the kick down. The other one runs the carb. It pushes forward to open up the carb. The manual ones pull back to open up. Here are some pictures, hope this helps. :takethat:
