1965 GMC 2500 4wd conversion

I have a 65 GMC 2500 flatbed with the SM420. My question is, can I fit a dana 60 front end with high steer and fab a crossmember to fit an NP205 divorced from the sm420? Or will I need a different transmission? are there better options for front axle and transmission? Are the 2wd and 4wd frame clearances the same? I am fairly clueless and just looking for info to see if something like this is worth my time. Thank you.

There are some differences between the 2wd & 4wd frame but it can be done. Off road racing & DIY4x4 are just a few that sell the spring brackets the go on the frame for the front springs, you can use the ones for 67-72 trucks.

Awesome, I hate to be a burden but do you have a link for the bracket? Cant seem to find one. Also the 67-72 frames are the same as 60-66?

There are build threads on other forums, here's one that shows using different frame brackets from a later model truck.
