305E Engine Weight

Good evening,
Wondering if anyone has the specs on how much the engine weighs for a 305E motor? Want to buy an engine stand and I want to make sure it's strong enough. Thanks in advance.
Jon

Fun fact: If you had a pet Chimpanzee he might only be 3 1/2 ft tall but he could pick up your motor and hold it for you while you change the oil. Max lifting power: 1200 lbs!

I just got the Harbor Freight 2 ton lift for mine. I'll store in on a pallet until I need to put it back in. Most engine stands are ok for a short time, but with our motors being so heavy (and long lasting) the stands tend to start collapsing after a few months. I wouldn't trust a 1000 lb version for long.

I wouldn't trust a 1000 pound version at all.
I have one.
I put my 351 on it.
It started leaning right off.

I used a strap around the front of my engine hoist/cherry picker to help the engine stand.
Although the only pictures I have are of it on the engine stand and a chain to the hoist.

I had a welder friend of mine make me a heavy duty engine stand. It has a longer wheelbase and wider track (same front and rear) than your typical Harbor Freight stands. I've had a spare 351E hanging from it for at least 10 years now -- no sagging.
