Magnum vs standard head pix

Anybody got a good side-by-side pix of two heads to show the difference?

There's a pair of heads on ebay but seller doesn't know difference and his pix don't show the exhaust ports.

Listing is "CHEVY/GMC 63-73 401 351 V6 TRUCK CYLINDER HEADS"

All he says is "These heads fit 2 ton gmc truck with a industrial v6 engine"

If there was a good pix to send him we might find out which he has.

If those are the ones listed for $800, I wouldn't pay that price whether they were magnum or not.

But, if you google gmc 351 magnum, click on the images tab and I'm pretty sure someone has a pic on there of them side by side.

That's what I was looking for!

And no, not for $800, even if they are Magnum "just as good as new" heads.

Yes, a good pair of used Magnum heads should go for ~$200.

What's a good valve job cost? One for a Chevy was ~$300, but even adding them together leaves a lot of room under $800

Reply from seller:

"The only markings on the head is the casting number the date code and a M.The intake gasket listed for the magnum has the same pattern as these heads. If there is another way to indentify the heads i will be glad to ck it.Thanks"

Does the "M" mean "Magnum"?

I might have to consider making an offer --

Re: Magnum vs standard head pix

The best way to determine which heads they are is by the part number cast in the rocker arm area, 66-72 magnum heads will have part #2421158, 73-74 Part #696030 or 696031
