305 engine value?

We are finally getting around to going through my Dad's various storage places and I have come across a V-6 GMC engine. It looks complete, except for the carb and breather. We are just starting into the building and there may be more.

My question is, Is there any value in this used, condition unknown, motor, or should I send it to the scrap yard?

Thanks,

Greg

try putting it on ebay. it would be better to give it away than scrap it. and you might make a few bucks

For cryin out loud, DON'T scrap that engine!! They are scarce as hen's teeth, and we're doing all that we can to preserve these durable old engines!! Anyone who replaces these engines with SBC engines is committing an UNFORGIVEABLE SIN!!

not much due to low interest in them. I've bought a spare for $100 because parts are hard to come by.

post is on local marketplace. Give it away to someone who needs it before you scrap it for $20

Re: 305 engine value?

We were finally able to move the engines in front of the V6 and I was able to determine that it is a 305C. The engine is missing the front water passage part of the intake.

It is located in Lockwood, MO, a small town in the southwestern part of the state.

There is also a 1960 B-model cab, full size truck, with a complete 305A in it.

We also found a 1960/61 truck parked in the brush. The doors are gone, but it has lots of good grill parts on it. I did not see any dents.

Let me know if you are interested.
