Default Is my 305 locked?

I have a 305E in my 1969 CM 2500. The truck's been laid up for a bit I got sick a few years ago and didn't really have the energy to work on it but now I want to rejuvenate it and get it going to do some work. I've been outside and I can get the engine to turn freely through about 90 degrees, but I then get some resistance. It's not hard it's actually kind of soft but I am wondering what might be stuck in the motor. Or is anything stuck in the motor? I don't want to get a battery and try to crank it for fear of busting or bending something. I'm about to put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders, and probably taking the valve covers off and spraying the valve train with PB Blaster. What does everybody think to get this motor to possibly get easily rotating again? It's kind of a prize truck since it's got virtually no rust and 41,000 miles. But it's been sitting idle for probably about 4 or five years. Thanks!
