USA models were quite a bit different, by 63 GMC got away from the rear coil spring suspension and went with rear leaf springs. No Chevy V8's were in the line up, it was all about the GMC 305 V6 and later the 351 V6. In 64 a standard engine was offered which was the Chevy 230 inline six making the 305E V6 a step up option.
